Congratulations to Butchers Gun hooker Joel Johnson who recently returned from a successful tour of Fiji with the Country First Rugby League team.
Joel was selected after another outstanding year in the local competition as well as being a standout in the champion Illawarra team
The Country First team played The Fijian residents and were successful in all games. The side was coached by Butchers 2014 premiership player Jamie Feeney
The tour saw the boys visit local scholls and conduct coaching clinics with the footy mad local kids.
Being the champion bloke he is, Joel donated his boots after the game and his playing gear, as well as organising once home to have boxes of gear sent back to the kids he met, including plenty of Butchers gear! Well done Johnno, a great representative of the club
