Luke Dodge will tomorrow hit the 100 game mile stone for the club

Starting his playing career at the Engadine dragons when he was 4, here he played until U17s. Luke played for the Cronulla Sharks rep teams from U14s to U16s (Harold Matts) before his family relocated to Thirroul in 2010 where he link with the Butchers,

Dodge went on to played SG ball with the Steelers in 2011 then finished the year with Thirroul’s U18’s, moving up through the grades in 2012 where he was part of the reserve grade team. 2013 seen Luke play for the NRL Dragons 20s as well as coming back to the white and blue to played first grade where he has been ever since

2020 seen Dodge sustain a serious broken leg which ruled him out for the season and left him contemplating retirement

A premiership winner with the Club in 2014 and  Luke was also a member of the losing grand final team of 2018

Luke not only brought his footballing skills when moving here back in 2010 but a great family as well who have become big supporters in every way of our club, his parents Mark & Louise and three sisters Elliemae, Jessica and Zoe along with his wife Tegan are always seen at our games and any club function.

We spoke to coach Costello and got his thoughts on Dodgey as he is fondly known within the playing group.

Dodgey has been a very loyal and hardworking player for our Club throughout his First Grade career. He has battled some serious injuries over the past few seasons and has shown great determination and commitment to get back playing as well as he has been.

. Luke’s family are also very committed supporters of the Butchers and I am sure that they will be proud of him reaching his 100th game milestone.

Hopefully the players can honour Luke’s loyalty and commitment to the Club with a performance and victory on Saturday against De La Salle.

It would be great to see a big crowd at Gibbo on Saturday afternoon to celebrate Luke’s milestone with him and help the boys get the two points.

We wish Luke all the best in his 100th game
