Pett’s Preview – Round 7 Berkeley v Thirroul

Butchers set to bounce back after week off

With the competition back after a week off the Butchers will be chomping at the bit to amend a last start defeat to reigning premiers Wests.

The butchers tasted there first defeat 2 weeks ago and this week head down to Berkeley Sports ground to face The Berkeley Eagles.
The Eagles must be packing darkies thinking about facing the Butchers as its very rare the Butchers put in two poor performances in a row.

The Butchers will have there inspirational leader back Joel Johnson who missed last week’s clash due to his wife giving birth to their daughter Maxi. Congratulations Johnsons. Joel will add his usual spark around the ruck and lead from the front as he does week in week out.

This round will complete the half way mark of the competition and at this stage im rating the butchers 8.5 out of 10.
Going into the second half of the season the Butchers will need to be at their best as the race for the top 2 is on….
I tend to feel it’s a 3 way race for a Top 2 finish between Butchers, Wests and Collies.
Get down to Berkeley and support the boys then head back to the Ryan’s Hotel and tip in a few schooner.
Good luck to all grades this weekend.
