With a game a piece in the regular season the two teams met again last Sunday that would see the winner advance through to week 3.
Thirroul opened the scoring through a smart dummy half run by hooker Jye Richards, with a quick play the ball and only one marker Richards took advantage of the situation and scooted over adjacent to the post, from about 8 meters out.

The Butchers went in again before half time with a neat little kick from 5/8th Jarod Prosser for winger Jordon Murphy to score the first of his two tries for the afternoon.

West came out to score first in the second half. Rydge Smith fighting of 3 Thirroul defenders to cross for the opening 4 pointer.
The game was put to bed with Murphy’s second try wide out to seal the win for the Butchers 18 to 12. They will now advance to week 3 were they will play the loser of this weeks major semi final between Colliegans and Dapto
