Earlier this year, a new member was added to the list of life members of the Thirroul Rugby League Football Club.
Trent, Morgo, 10, Rammie, Ram man as he is fondly known was first part of the club back in his under 15 days.
Trent has gone on to serve the club as a player, coach, committee member and is now one of the driving forces behind the success of the Butchers Old Boys
Trent Morgan, 1996 Grand Final at WIN Stadium
He came into grade in 1988 and went on to play some first grade but his biggest achievements would come in reserve grade. It was here that he captained the side to victories in 1996, 2000, 2001 as well as playing in the victorious 1998 Reggie’s side. Once he finally hung up the boots, Trent dove head first into coaching of the Butchers reserve grade team in 2002 and 2003.
You will now find Morgo is a integral part of the Butchers Old Boys, being the only player to play in every game over the past 10 years at the NRL master.
When ever you are at Gibson Park to watch the Butchers go around, you’ll find Morgo over on Old Boys hill at his little bar doing his bit for the club.
Congratulations on being honored with life membership, for what you give back to the club and for genuinely being great bloke.
